FAQs

Who is Renesas?

Renesas is the world's largest MCU vendor, created in 2010 through the merger of the semiconductor businesses of Hitachi, Mitsubishi and NEC.

What return rights do I have?

Your rights to return products ordered over the internet are covered by the Distant Selling Act 2011. You are entitled to return any product within 28 days for a full no questions asked refund.

What should I do if my product is faulty?

In the rare circumstances that you believe a Renesas product to be faulty, please email us and we will contact you to arrange either a full refund, or a replacement, at no cost to you.

Why doesn't Renesas accept orders from private individuals?

The Distant Selling Act 2011 assigns additional rights to private individuals which would require us to accept returns up to as long as 2 years after sale. This is not compatible with semiconductor products and therefore we will only trade with registered companies.

Why can't I find H8, M16C, V850 or SH microcontrollers in the store?

The online store is intended to provide convenience to customers looking to design in the most recently released MCUs from Renesas. You can still source many of ur more mature MCUs from one of our franchised distributors.
